This involves a complementary blend of reflexology, Korean Hand therapy and massage techniques This blend of techniques provides tremendous health benefits by helping to reduce stress, cleansing the body of impurities and toxins. It is soothing, and will refresh and revitalize energy levels.
Your hands and feet contain thousands of sensory nerve endings, which makes them the most sensitive part of your body. Part of the treatment includes Korean Hand Therapy also known as Korean Hand Acupuncture. This was researched by Dr Tae Woo Yoo resulting in the theorization that the hands are the micro-universe of our bodies. Korean Hand Therapy is based on the reflexology map, where every part of your body corresponds with the reflex point in your hand. For example: The heart is located at the base of your index finger, the eyes at the top of your index finger. By treating these areas and also targeting specific areas, it often has beneficial responses by alleviating pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body.
You use your hands, arms, feet and legs repeatedly and continuously, which causes strain, wear and tear on ligaments, tendons and muscles. So this marvelous massage technique is wonderful for those suffering from Carpel Tunnel Syndrome or Repetitive Strain Injuries, as it reduces muscle fatigue, encourages joint mobility and reduces aches and pains.
Both Hand/Arm and Feet/Leg Massage can be practiced in a seated position on a chair or laying position on a couch.
These treatments can be done together or separately. Please see the Pricing Page for details.
